About the Artist

Patrick McCarthy is a Melbourne-based director, playwright, actor, designer and producer. He is the founder and Artistic Director of Mutation Theatre. His work includes So Blue So Calm, The Arrival, Habitat, The Corpse of Hamlet, and Fluorescent Façade. He has also worked as a director at MTC and Playwriting Australia.
James is a Melbourne-based theatre-maker, performer and is the Associate Director of Mutation Theatre. His recent work includes: So Blue, So Calm (Mutation Theatre), Xenos (Liminal Theatre - Creative Development), Us (Grit Theatre), and Habitat (Mutation Theatre). In 2012, James received the Australia Council’s ArtStart Grant and is undergoing a mentorship with Robert Reid.
Since graduating from the VCA in 2008, Brendan’s theatre credits have included the 2009 production of 'Life is a Dream', directed by Daniel Schlusser, 'Honey Bunny's Saggitarian Full Moon Finale', written & directed by Julian Hobba, and Bell Shakespeare's 2010 Actors At Work tour performing in schools across Australia.
Kevin’s theatre credits from 2011 include La Mama’s premier production ‘Conspiracy’, ‘Man Equals Man’ as part of the QTC education program and 'Cut Snake' Sydney + Melbourne Fringe. He is a recent graduate from the VCA in 2010. Kevin has also performed with the Danger Ensemble and Amanda Palmer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Matthew Epps is a Melbourne-based actor and devisor. Most recently, Matthew co-devised and performed in Mutation Theatre’s So Blue, So Calm. In 2010, he co-devised and performed in Grit Theatre’s production Us, which won Best Independent Production and Best Ensemble at the Victorian Green Room Awards. Other recent work includes: Habitat (Mutation Theatre, 2010), Maelstrom (Grit Theatre, 2009) and Blackrock (VCA, 2008).
Katie Sfetkidis is a lighting designer and installation artist. She has been nominated for three Green Room Awards. Other awards include The Rory Dempster Lighting Internship, Malthouse Besen Family Artist Program, Australia Council Artstart and JUMP programs. Career highlights include; Two by Two (Little Ones Theatre) These are the Isolate (Mutation Theatre), Elektra (Fraught Outfit), this is for you (La Mama).
